
Chinatown Heritage Centre is a cultural museum along the Pagoda Street in Singapore. The museum interior was design to imitate the real environment of Chinatown in the 1950s, allow you to feel the life of early Chinese migrants in Singapore. Here you can experience the various activities in 1950s, how they celebrate different traditional festival, and their daily life. Life was hard in the old days. It was the mixture of poverty, diseases, and harsh living condition. Such environment push the migrants seeking for solace, such as opium smoking, drinking, prostitution, gambling and secret society. This is a must visit place if you want to travel back to 1950 and experience the colorful past of Chinatown.
